Eating Solids and Loving It!

Where do I begin - so much has been happening. I started eating solid foods, so far I've had rice cereal and avocado and I love both! Next week's addition - BANANAS:) Mommy also experimented with sippy cups and finally found one that I can get some water out of, now that is fun! My two bottom teeth have popped through, not so fun. Along with the teeth came some serious diaper rash, and my daytime napping has been short and not so sweet. (We are hoping the short napping is due to teething, and not the start of a bad habit!) We think crawling is right around the corner - I have started "moving" around on the floor during tummy time. I also do this thing where I move my butt up and down and flail my arms and legs - Mommy and Daddy call it my humping move. Seems I've taken a page out of Cass's book, for those of you who don't know, my dog is infamous for grabbing her pillow and humping the couch. Isn't that horrible of my parents to label my cute little innocent baby moves with such a disgusting name? Next up for the blog - Swim Lessons - we start February 7th!!!

Enjoy my cute pictures!

Finally asleep after Mom and Dad refused to turn me over on my belly after the tenth time!

Mommy can't get the spoon there fast enough

Yummy!

I actually did get some in my mouth....

Airing out that nasty diaper rash, I think it bothered Mommy more than it bothered me!

Avocadoes! Note the snout in lower right corner, didn't take Cass long!

Recap: Eat food, put fingers in mouth, let Cass lick fingers, put fingers back in mouth...Ewwww!

I'm getting to be a pro in the exersaucer, check it out!

Santa Was Good To Me

Before Mommy took down all the Christmas decor, we lined up all my loot and took a picture so we can remember how lucky I am and how good everyone was to me. Here's the rundown: a new toy box made especially for me by my Great Uncle Don, the Jungle Cruise and Crawl, a basketball hoop, a beginner Thomas the Train wooden railroad track, a squishy Tonka truck, a Scoot n Ride, a tugboat bath toy, Elmo Live, a turtle constellation night light, books, puzzles, jammies and not to mention some contributions to the college fund. Thanks everyone for a great first Christmas:)

I'm not spoiled!

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a great Christmas. I was of course spoiled by grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles, and cousins. I'm used to being at home in the peace and quiet of my house, so going to Grandma and Grandpa's for almost a week was quite the change - all of these kids running around, playing with my toys; four dogs licking me; sleeping in a pack and play, having to listen to Mommy, Grandma and Grandpa order each other around when they were getting things ready on Christmas Eve...boy was I happy to come home to my nice big quiet crib.

I've hit some major milestones since the last post. I am now sleeping through the night, and none of this five hour at a time stuff the experts call sleeping through the night, I am talking 7pm to 7am. Mommy and Daddy keep telling everyone that life is bliss in the Tomczuk house - funny, I thought that started on August 6, 2008. My second accomplishment is rolling over from my belly to my back. One problem, I haven't quite figured out how to roll from my back to my belly. Mommy and Daddy heard me scream like crazy one night because I had rolled over in my sleep, couldn't figure out how get back to my belly, and woke myself up. Finally, I have sort of started giggling, I've included a video, you be the judge on whether it qualifies as a giggle!

Check back in a few weeks, we're starting cereal soon, and there are sure to be some good pictures!

Full of Thanks

Hi Everybody! I wanted to give you a quick recap of my November, and to tell you about all of the people and things I am thankful for! We're working on sleeping through the night, and I have to say it's going ok. One night this week I slept until 4:45 am without one peep, apparently my big sister Cass didn't let mommy and daddy take advantage of that, she was sick in the middle of the night. I am fighting off another cold and we play a little game called Booger Attack - mommy and daddy use a battery operated booger sucker to clear up my nose, and I am totally in awe of that machine, so I sit there like a perfect little angel and let them attack those nasty boogers! Anyway, here are some new pictures!

Winter is here, but I'm all set and thankful for my bear hat!

I am thankful for my Bumbo seat, it's teaching me how to sit up!

I am thankful for my recent visitors:

Kristina held me even though I was wearing my Sunday best - Packer gear

My fried Diego thought Cass had a telephone call

Diego leaning in for a smooch!

Snuggling with Auntie Brenda

Story time with Henry and Sophia

I am thankful for my new friends from our childbirth class: Colin, Finley, Garrett, Me, Abyan, Evelyn, and Addison

I am thankful for inanimate objects:

Staredown with Octopus

Staredown with Moo Cow

Staredown with Billy Buttons

I am thankful for my soft puppy blanket from Addy and Avery!

I am thankful that Daddy gets me dressed, but Mommy didn't get the 0-3 drawer cleaned out in time!

Fat Man in a Little Coat

I am thankful that Mommy and Daddy don't disturb me when I fall asleep in my carseat, they just set the seat right in my crib!

I am thankful for Thanksgiving Dinner and for Mommy dressing me in these ridiculous holiday outfits (actually this outfit is courtesy of Auntie Cynde)!

I am thankful that as a baby, I can get away with being a little full of myself:
I am Simply....

Reminding Uncle T-Bone that I am the....
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas, and I can't wait to tell you all about the cool presents I get:) Right now I have a fascination with all of the lights, wait till next year when I can swat at the ornaments!!!
